The centre of the mattress is made from horsetail hair, one of the most durable and resilient fibres in the world. It has a natural spring and provides superior comfort. The horsetail hair is sandwiched together with organic coir adding extra support and breathability. A sumptuous Mohair fleece wraps around the outside of the mattress creating a soft cushioning and acts as an excellant insulator during winter and ventilator during summer.

What is Mohair?
Mohair is sheared from Angora goats twice a year, in the spring and in the autumn. It is one of the oldest textile fabrics around and is widely determined for its lustre, durability and resilience. Angora goats originated in Central Asia and found their way to Turkey in the 12th and 13th centuries and thrived in an area called Ankara, from which their name is derived. In the 16th century they arrived in Spain and France and were later exported to the United States. Mohair’s versatile nature means that it can be used in a wide range of different products including upholstery fabrics, furnishings, jumpers, scarves and hats for example.
