Available in a number finishes. Seat cushion sold separately; see below. The Svan Chair takes a traditional highchair and gives it an big upgrade in design and flexibility. Instead of employing a space age modernist design like the Nest highchair, it uses traditional materials (birch) to create a sculptural but functional form; its main beam mimics the curve of a swan's neck (hence the name Svan), allowing the seat to line up flush with a table.
Svan of Sweden says: "The single best feature of the Svan Chair is its tremendous versatility. It can be used as a traditional high chair with a tray [included with 6 month version], but remove the tray and even a young infant can be seated up to the table for a meal with the family. Later on, the safety guard can be removed so your child can step up into the chair on their own to seat themselves up to the table and eventually it becomes a full-size chair" Also, it has an adjustable seat and footrest, providing anatomically correct support at any stage.
